Detect, investigate, recover — on a nightly cycle.

No new hardware, no POS migration, no camera review. LPSecure works from the transaction data your stores already produce.

How it works

The cycle

01

Connect your POS data

LPSecure ingests a daily transaction journal from your existing point-of-sale systems. PDI Enterprise and Verifone Commander are supported today; because the platform is POS-agnostic, a connector for a new system is typically built in about a week. If your stores produce a transaction journal, LPSecure can analyze it.

02

Nightly detection

Thirty-three detectors run across the whole chain every night — transactions, line and pricing, cash handling, and compound register patterns, plus age-verification and identifier-overuse checks. The system also watches itself: every store’s feed is checked against a staleness threshold, so a location that quietly stops sending data gets flagged rather than silently dropping out.

03

Peer-benchmarked ranking

Every flagged employee is scored against peers at the same location, and the queue is ordered by likely financial impact — so your team opens a prioritized list instead of starting from a raw export.

04

Investigate in CaseSuite

Work the case in one system: subject, evidence, notes, police detail, status. Where you have video, LPSecure narrows down the footage worth reviewing.

05

Resolution & recovery

Close the case, record the recovery, and report shrink as a percentage of sales against the cost of the platform. Repeat offenders surface across store boundaries.

The only step most tools have is the second one. Peer scoring is what turns a list of flagged events into a ranking you can defend, and the discard path is why an honest employee who mis-scans and re-rings does not appear in it at all.

What it needs from you

A daily transaction extract

LPSecure works from daily extracts, not access to your production systems.

About a week to connect

For a POS we already support, less. New connectors typically take about a week.

Someone to work the queue

One person in Operations is enough. You don’t need a dedicated LP department.

What it will not do

Flag an honest mistake

A mis-scan corrected and re-rung as the same item is skipped, not scored. Matching is on manufacturer code and description overlap — a corrected DIET PEPSI matches a re-rung PEPSI ZERO; COKE 20OZ and PEPSI 20OZ are not the same item.

Score a rare event into the top

A dimension has to clear a minimum event count before it can move an employee’s score, and peer distances are capped — so two events in a rare category can’t outrank ten at six times the rate.

Punish correct process

Dropping cash in the safe is correct and is never scored. A one-cent drop is, because it answers the prompt while the cash stays in the drawer.

Start with your own numbers.

A quantified loss report on your stores in 30 days. $2,500 for chains under 50 stores, $5,000 for 50+ — credited in full against your first-year contract.
